One of the open space sessions was about MindTheirBusiness, a new (to be launched coming Sunday) online platform that makes it possibile for entrepreneurs here to invest via microcredit in entrerpeneurs in upcoming countries.
The aim of the session was to receive advice and comments on this idea. The session was very lively, with lots of advice.
Just a few points:
Find other networks to check your plan and to find out what they are missing
Make a good communcation plan
Check other platforms and find out what their good things are and what is working not so well.
Find out and communicate what is in MindTheirBusiness for the entrepreneurs, what are the USP’s for MTB.
For the people who took the initiative for MindTheirBusiness, it was really a worthy session. It was their first encounter with the real world and from this point on, the platform needs to grow. If you have any more advice or comments, please take a look (from Sunday) at www.mindtheirbusiness.nl.

Just arrived at the 1%EVENT. The big space on the second floor is empty and it looks like it’s all over already. It’s my first 1%EVENT and I’m eager to dive in and feel that special vibe I heard so much about when I was working at the 1%CLUB this spring. But where is everybody?
The aims for this friday are high: solving problems creating solutions for world challenges big and small. And grap that momentum that will lead to concrete actions after this friday the 17th of september.
The way to make this happen is with open space (like you read in a previous post) and focus the collective wisdom and knowledge of the 250 people that are present here. Everybody is talking in groups and finding new ways to accomplish dreams and visions. So it’s a good thing that the main space is empty
It’s quite something different from other events I visit regularity where there are guest speakers and most of the participants are passively listening to them. Although it can be very inspiring at times (and dull), with the open space methode everybody can make a difference and participate in shaping idea’s and visions making them bigger that the sum of its parts.
I only had the pleasure ones at the ISHUB. Where I instantly felt the flow within the group and the vibe it created between those groups.
So I can’t wait to hear all the good things that came out of the fist sessions and become part of the flow.
