Philip Emeagwali about Africa in the 21st century

Philip Emeagwali

The BBC has a nice series called Digital Giants where they ask the digital world’s top thinkers to share their visions of what they believe will be the next big thing online and how it will change our lives.

Have a look at the video of Philip Emeagwali telling us abouts the opportunities internet has to offer Africa.

The internet is the repository of human knowledge of the twenty-first century so Africa has to connect to that repository … it’s the key to not only increase the continents’ scientific and technological intellectual capital but alleviating poverty and reducing the gap between the rich and the poor nations of the world.

I couldn’t agree more.
